The big attraction near Scarborough is the North Yorkshire Moors National Park that stretches down to meet the coast. There is nowhere finer for walks with dogs in Yorkshire except for the Dales. Walk through the woodlands of the North Riding Forest Park, try your aerial dexterity at the Go Ape attraction. There are acres of fabulous moorland, streams and woodland where you can walk in peace and allow your dogs to explore the undergrowth.
On the northern side of Scarborough are the beautiful gardens and lakes of Peasholme Park. The park is pleasant for walks and enjoying ducks, swans and flower beds. A cafe in the park can supply refreshments for thirsty walkers with their dogs.
